Our client is a leading timber and builder’s merchants and have a reputation for innovation and excellence within their field. The company believes in their people and strives to provide excellent and reliable service to their customers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for anOperations Managerto join the current team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic and have a willingness to learn and develop new skills that will equip them for a successful career within the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all aspects of Branch operations including the Sawmill, Treatment Tank and training of staff
  • Coordinating and helping with deliveries, customer collections and daily duties
  • Managing health and safety on a daily basis whilst ensuring a high standard of housekeeping
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels in the yard

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in timber, building, construction or home improvement desirable but not essential.
  • Management experience in any industry is essential and will be considered.
  • Stock control/management – Goods inward/outward experience in any industry.
  • For candidates not from a related industry you must have demonstrated experience and ability to adjust to a new industry, learn products and get up to speed efficiently.
  • Customer/client engagement skills and experience essential.
