Our Great Bear site in Sheffield are currently recruiting forClass 1 Driverson a Full time and permanent contract.The role will include Aldi and Lidl deliveries along with self tipping and RDC\’s deliveries.
The position guarantees 52.5 hours pay each week with overtime available on Saturdays and Sundays if needed.
Job Description
Shift:Monday-Friday starting between 14:00pm-18:00pm.
Salary: £15.01 per hour (£14.01 per hour basic + £1.00 per hour Nights allowance).
Overtime:£21.01 per hour + £1.00 per hour Nights Allowance.
- Report to the transport office at the start of shift
- Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
- Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
- Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance
- Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
- Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
- Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
- Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times
- Immediately report any problems regarding delivery arrival times, delays or discrepancies with loads
- Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
- Ensure regular communication with the Transport Office
- Observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery point
- Ensure correct completion of a defect report as and when required
- Any other duties as reasonably required
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 months Class 1 experience.
- Full C+E Entitlement along with CPC & Tacho Card.
- Experience of Driving Class 1 vehicles.
- No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions
- Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
- Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
- Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication skills
