Shepherd Neame is looking for a Chef to join our kitchen team. If you are a new or aspiring chef seeking a fresh challenge and to develop your career in the kitchen, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Located in the heart of Canterbury, the Shakespeare pub is situated on a charming cobbled street in the city centre, close to Canterbury Cathedral. It\’s an ideal spot for dinner and drinks after exploring the city. The adjoining wine bar opens onto Buttermarket square, opposite the Cathedral’s main entrance. Enjoy traditional British dishes, Kentish gourmet burgers, artisanal sharing boards, and local ales and lagers brewed just 10 miles away by Shepherd Neame in Faversham.

We believe that excellent chefs are essential to a successful kitchen. In this role, you will work as part of a friendly and supportive team to deliver a great dining experience to our customers.

Previous catering experience is beneficial, but if you lack experience, don’t worry. If you love food, are confident, motivated, and a team player, we can provide training and teach you everything you need to know.
