Newly Qualified Plumbing Engineer
Location: Guildford
Contract: Full-time (40 hour week, including some evenings, weekends & bank holidays)
Salary: Up to £30,550 (includes location allowance) increasing to £33,400 with experience + £3,000 guaranteed bonus in your first year

Are you a newly qualified plumber looking to kick-start your career with expert support and hands-on experience in domestic plumbing?
At HomeServe, we’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated Newly Qualified Plumbing Engineers (NVQ level 2 equivalent) to join our growing team. You’ll work alongside experienced plumbers, gain real-world experience in customers\’ homes, and benefit from training at our state-of-the-art academy.

What You’ll Need
- Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification)
- A full UK Driving Licence (with fewer than 6 penalty points)
- Strong customer service skills
- Some hands-on experience in a domestic plumbing environment
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Training & Career Support
We’ll give you the tools and support to build your skills and confidence:
- Weeks 1-2: Induction
- One-on-one Health & Safety training with SEC
- Weeks 3-14: Buddying
- 12 weeks shadowing a Senior Engineer
- Learn processes, procedures, and best practices
- 8 hours of coaching per week
- Weeks 15-18: Supervised Practical Work
- You’ll start working hands-on, under full supervision
- Focus on technical ability, customer service, and process compliance
- Weeks 19-26: Supported Independence
- Lowered job targets to give you time to grow
- 8 hours coaching per week
- Week 27 onwards: Business as Usual
- Performance monitored, with ongoing coaching and support as needed
