Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Support Worker for our Supported Living Service, in Halifax.

About the role

The lady we support is in her 40s and has a physical disability, requiring support with personal care and meal preparation. Due to this, we are seeking a mature female to assist her in daily activities.

This lady enjoys outings in the community, such as swimming, Pilates, and shopping. She has a great sense of humour and is looking for someone to share these enjoyable experiences with.

A full driving licence is required to support the lady and to drive her automatic car.

The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting social connections, community access, and attending appointments. We support daily living skills and socialisation.

We value each person as an individual and provide a person-centred, tailored service. The role aims to promote the individual’s independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering high standards of support.

Shifts: 10am-4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10am-2pm on Sundays, with additional hours if needed.

At this time, we are unable to consider sponsorship for this role.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a qualification in health and social care (not essential) or experience working in supported living settings and/or with individuals with learning disabilities.
