Description

Permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

You will join the Art and Design team in the delivery of Level 1, 2 and 3 against the UAL framework. This will include areas that will be focused on Fashion and Textiles, photography, Art and Design and Graphic Design and the use of digital equipment and software being prominent within the teaching demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver departmental requirements of core modules in line with the UAL specification.
  • To Support the delivery across level’s 1, 2 and 3 across a range of disciplines within Art and Design against the UAL specifications.
  • Be ready to delivery via a blended learning approach i.e. face-to-face and online (remote delivery via Microsoft Teams)
  • To have the skillset and experience to lead lessons using the Adobe suite, as well as creative techniques across the disciplines of fine art, fashion and textiles, graphic design and photography.
  • Producing sequenced schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning ensuring Ofsted Readiness.
  • To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
  • To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
  • Ensure that all students are well prepared for final major projects
  • To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Relevant Degree in Art and Design.
A range of industry standard Art and Design qualifications and experiences.
Teaching Qualification (or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification).
GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above.
