About The Role
At GSF Car Parts, the role of a Retail Assistant is crucial for delivering excellent customer service. You will contribute to achieving branch and individual targets through face-to-face sales, servicing click and collect orders, and developing strong customer relationships.Main duties include:
- Serving trade and retail customers for click and collect and general orders while maximising sales.
- Picking relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders.
- Assisting the sales team with product promotions, answering telephone and electronic queries.
- Satisfying customer needs regarding part orders, returns, or queries.
- Checking customer returns for resale, warranty, or surcharge.
- Contributing to a positive team environment and working on personal sales benchmarks.
- Using the E-learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
- Maintaining cleanliness in customer-facing areas.
- Building strong relationships with customers and understanding their garage needs.
- Representing the company professionally and promoting our values.
- Working towards achieving relevant KPIs.
Working hours: Average hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.
About You
What you\’ll need to succeed:
- Proven customer service or sales/retail experience in a customer-facing role.
- Target-driven and motivated to achieve results.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Positive approach to resolving customer queries.
- Confident with IT and computer systems.
- Team player with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of car parts or automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office preferred.
