Job Title: Fryer Operator (12hr shifts rotating days and nights. 2,2,3 pattern)

Reports to: Process Supervisor
Overall Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the frying quality meets customer specifications. To protect the brand, maintain trust, and deliver our legal obligations by ensuring customers\’ food is sourced and manufactured to the food integrity requirements of each customer.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Operate the fryer area, including all aspects of frying and freezing operations
- Perform quality checks to ensure oil quality, frying temperature, and dwell time meet customer specifications
- Complete hourly process paperwork as required
- Adjust frying temperature and/or time if deviations from customer specifications occur
- Ensure the freezer operates at the correct speed and temperature
- Conduct basic asset care of the fryer machine and maintain cleanliness of the work area
- Raise M2 items where appropriate
- Attend and contribute to MCS meetings
- Lead fryer cleaning and boil-out during sanitation
- Escalate any issues affecting performance to supervisor or manager in a timely manner
- Complete thorough handovers at shift changeovers
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and GMP practices
- Be responsible for personal and team safety (BBS)
- Carry out sanitation duties, including shutdown procedures
- Remain at workstation until relieved at shift handover
- Provide on-the-job guidance and training to colleagues as required
- Report and escalate production problems or issues promptly
- Support shift engineers with process advice during breakdowns and repairs
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers

Qualifications
Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent), Lamb Weston chemical training, H+S, GMP, MPC Training, Emergency Response team training, RPPT, PPT (to be completed)
Experience
2-3 years’ food manufacturing experience, SAP/SCADA experience
