Responsibilities
- Provide day to day pipeline support to shows across 3D and 2D related tools.
- Maintain show based tools along with creating smaller features.
- Resolve technical problems for productions with department leads and supervisors.
- Act as the liaison between production/artists and pipeline based on projects.
- Do code reviews and give productive feedback to team members.
- Follow studio standards for version control, documentation, and testing.
- Submit your own code for code reviews.
Requirements
- 2+ years of expierence as a TD within the VFX, or Animation industry
- Experience with using Python, Mel and TCL in a produciton environment.
- Experience with Windows and Linux.
- Solid understanding and production experience with Maya, Houdini, Nuke, and ShotGrid.
- Strong understanding of colorspaces and OCIO .
- Strong grasp of asset and shot workflows across departments.
- Familiarity with git / svn and collaborative workflows (code review, standards, etc.)
- Experience building VFX C/C++ libraries and dependencies on Windows.
- Experience with Regular Expressions.
- Familiarity with USD and modern scene description paradigms.
- A generalist mindset with the ability to troubleshoot across both 3D and 2D pipelines.
