Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor

Abatec are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Civil Engineering contractor on a freelance basis. Our client is one of the regions busiest contractors, known for delivering civil engineering schemes on time and to budget. The successful candidate will have a background of working with NEC forms of contract and will be responsible for subcontractor management, applications and payments. As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will: * Maintain accurate records, control and reconcile costs and value, report variances against agreed performance, compliance and finance targets. * Take control of change management and manage final accounts. * Be responsible for subcontract procurement and managing their accounts. Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with: * Previous experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor * Strong commercial awareness and acumen. * Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying. * Experience of NEC forms of contract.
