One of Nottingham's premier employers is looking to appoint an Interim Senior Financial Accountant to take on a broad range of financial management and financial guidance responsibilities. You will be technically strong but with a commercial pragmatic approach. Key Responsibilities: * Drive the financial accounting focus for our system project and be a hands-on member of the project team. * Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes. * Manage tax compliance, including VAT and corporation tax returns. * Oversee the financial audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors. * Own the cash flow model and analysis, refining the process and assessing borrowing needs. * Mentor and support junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. About You: * Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience. * Strong technical accounting skills, with a thorough understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS. * Proven experience in financial control. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to challenges
