NRL are currently recruiting for a Construction Project Manager to work on a prestigious project in Yate, Bristol.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of a live data centre construction project in Bristol. This is a critical role within a lean, high-performing team. You will take full ownership of day-to-day site operations, manage all key construction packages and interfaces, and work closely with the Site Manager and wider business to ensure successful delivery of the project.
You’ll report directly to the Operations Director and feed into commercial, programme, and client reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all on-site construction activities and coordinate subcontractor teams
- Manage the delivery of technical building packages including steelwork, envelope, internal fit-out, fire stopping, and MEP interfaces
- Chair and lead site coordination meetings and subcontractor progress reviews
- Collaborate with the Site Manager on daily site operations, logistics, and safety
- Track and report on progress against programme and escalate risks or delays
- Input into programme lookaheads, sequencing, and critical path updates
- Review RAMS, ITPs and ensure QA/QC processes are followed
- Ensure all works are delivered to spec, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate with the client and design teams on technical queries (RFIs, design clarifications)
- Support project handover planning and commissioning interfaces
Who are we looking for:
- Proven experience in construction management
- Strong understanding of building construction phases, sequencing, and package coordination
- Proven track record of delivering new build construction projects from the ground up
- Confident leading subcontractor packages and solving buildability issues on-site
- Excellent communication and reporting skills – able to interface with both trades and directors
- Comfortable working under pressure in a live, fast-paced site environment
- CSCS (Black or White), SMSTS, and First Aid certified
Desirable:
- Experience in data centre, critical infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Knowledge of commissioning and integrated systems testing
- Basic understanding of MF1 contract administration
- Familiarity with MS Project
