Our client is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Junior YouTube Editor to join the Kids Marketing Team on a contract basis to support the video production pipeline. You will work closely with the Digital & Marketing Manager and other producers, being responsible for day-to-day video editing (cutting clips and compilations from existing series), thumbnail design, and metadata creation (video titles, descriptions, and tags) for our portfolio of channels. Collaborating with other members of the Kids team, you should have at least two years of experience using Premiere Pro and Photoshop, strong copywriting skills, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational abilities.
This role is well suited to a recent graduate (or someone with equivalent experience) who is passionate about editing, video content, YouTube and our brands. Experience managing YouTube channels and interpreting analytics from YouTube Creator Studio is an advantage.
Daily responsibilities:
- Fulfil the weekly production list for our YouTube channels, including editing clips and compilations, producing eye catching thumbnails, and writing metadata (video title, description and tags) optimised for the platform
- Assist with editing vertical videos for TikTok channels when needed
- Ensure assets are delivered on time, meet company quality standards, are properly reviewed, and comply with internal guidelines
- Use internal tools to track work (including, but not limited to, Monday.com and Excel)
- Ensure assets are correctly named and saved for easy access by other team members
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Digital Manager to ensure effective collaboration
- Regularly seek ways to improve workflow, production, and collaboration while considering internal goals
- When time permits, propose, test, and execute potential new YouTube content formats using Premiere continually exploring innovative ways to engage audiences and communities with our brands
- Maintain effective communication with other members of the team to ensure everyone is aware of when tasks are in progress or completed
- If needed, you may be requested to uplaod videos on YouTube
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop
- Strong understanding of YouTube, either as a consumer or creator
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate knowledge of video editing and image production in Premiere and Photoshop
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Be self-motivated, have a positive and enthusiastic attitude
