Job Overview
Fortune is hiring a strategic, data-savvy Community Manager to help us develop and deepen a network of senior European leaders across the Fortune 500, as well as select NGOs, trade associations, and other public-interest institutions.
In this cross-functional role, you’ll design and manage curated executive communities based on role, industry, and region—such as a cohort of retail CTOs in Paris or AI-forward CEOs across DACH. Working closely with our editorial and events teams, you’ll identify key figures, build a GDPR-compliant database, and drive ongoing engagement through private dinners, content sharing, and other bespoke experiences.
You will work alongside Fortune’s Editorial Director, UK & Europe, to translate audience insights into smart, high-impact convenings and editorial moments. Together, you’ll ensure that our events and reporting reflect the real-world challenges and ideas shaping the European business landscape.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Audience Insight & Structure: You understand how C-suite executives think—and how to map and segment them in ways that unlock real engagement.
Community-Building Instinct: You think in cohorts and connections, always looking for what a group of peers might learn from each other.
Operational Precision: You’re fluent in CRM tools, privacy compliance, and managing complex event workflows.
Collaborative Spirit: A thoughtful teammate who builds trust across editorial, events, and commercial functions.
Strategic Judgment: You see patterns in data and behavior—and know how to turn them into action.
Key Responsibilities:
Audience Development & Community Design
- Build and maintain a clean, compliant database of high-level contacts across Europe, aligned with GDPR and UK privacy laws
- Identify and segment communities based on function, title, sector, and geography
- Surface new sub-communities and patterns that help Fortune connect dots others miss
- Collaborate with editorial to ensure our events and coverage are shaped by relevant, real-world voices
Engagement & Event Collaboration:
- Partner with the events team to shape guest lists, secure attendance, and provide white-glove coordination
- Send invitations, manage RSVPs, confirm dietary needs, and support onsite logistics
- Track engagement across events and follow-ups to inform future community-building efforts
- Help shape post-event engagement strategies, from curated content to intimate follow-up gatherings
Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Work closely with the Editorial Director, UK & Europe, to surface key community themes and guide coverage
- Partner with commercial teams to ensure our communities support long-term client value
- Contribute to the overall strategic plan for growing Fortune’s presence and impact in Europe
Your Experience & Attributes
- 5+ years in audience strategy, CRM/Salesforce, communications, or events—ideally with a focus on senior decision-makers
- Candidates with Media, C-suite conferences background will be preferred but not necessary
- Strong data and segmentation skills; comfortable with spreadsheets and CRM systems
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Experience coordinating high-touch event or executive experiences is a plus
