Job Description
We are working with a leading US law firm to hire a Data Protection Analyst in London. In this role, you’ll support the risk and compliance function with a particular focus on data privacy, collaborating closely with colleagues across the business, including legal, IT security, and compliance teams.
The firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual with experience in data privacy or regulatory compliance, ideally within a law firm environment. You will have at least one to two years of relevant experience and a strong interest in developing your expertise in data protection across a global context.
The responsibilities will include:
• Supporting data privacy projects and maintaining relevant frameworks
• Coordinating privacy and security workstreams using project management tools
• Managing data subject rights requests, including document review
• Reviewing client and supplier contracts for data protection compliance
• Maintaining records of processing activities across jurisdictions
• Conducting assessments on new technologies and processes
• Handling file transfers and data-related queries
• Monitoring regulatory developments and supporting implementation
• Contributing to wider compliance projects and regulatory alignment
• Assisting with policy drafting and metric development
• Responding to compliance-related queries
