Job Description

I am partnering with a top-tier Global law firm who are looking for a Senior Conflicts Lawyer to come onboard their New Business Intake team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the conflicts processes and policies for the firm, in addition to acting as a key advisor to partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the firm are protected from risk in relation to conflicts, covering the firm's international and US offices
  • Reviewing and improving the firm's conflicts processes and policies on an ongoing basis
  • Acting as a point of escalation for the rest of the team for complex queries
  • Taking the lead on internal investigations relating to conflicts
  • Providing guidance to the Professional Claims team on potential conflicts of interest
  • Advising on conflict-related clauses within bespoke client agreements
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of technology for managing conflicts and information barriers
  • Designing and implementing training for the wider-firm in relation to conflicts

Person requirements:

  • Must be a qualified lawyer with 5+ years' demonstratable experience managing conflicts of interest within a law firm
  • Must be familiar with conflicts of interest rules under the SRA
  • Experience of handling conflicts of interest under international jurisdictions is highly desirable
  • Must be able to deliver effective solutions to an international business
