Job Description

Our Oldham site has an exciting opportunity for a Stock Controller to join their friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis!

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm.

As a Stock Controller, you will contribute to the success of the site by ensuring that all Stock Control processes are carried out in accordance with the site policy documents. You will play a vital role in maintaining stock integrity within the warehouse.

Key Duties of a Stock Controller:

  • Liaise with management and operational staff to ensure accuracy of received and dispatched loads.
  • Manage, in conjunction with the Receipt and Dispatch Team, the problem pallet area.
  • Accurately amend pickfaces to maintain stock integrity, ensuring all checks are completed first.
  • Manage Hold and Release processes.
  • Provide stock traceability information as required for reasons such as recalls.
  • Investigate and report all short shipments accurately.
  • Complete daily reports on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Manage multi-client and multi-customer queries.
  • Assist Stock Management with investigations.
  • Handle additional responsibilities such as handovers, missing pallet investigations, damage control, email queries, and samples.

Qualifications

  • Previous stock control experience.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage own time to achieve daily targets efficiently and effectively.
  • Team player who can also work independently.
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Autostore WMS is desirable.
