As a Local Area Coordinator (LAC), you will support people with disability, their families, and carers to access the NDIS, develop meaningful plans and connect with their communities. This is a place-based role where you will work directly with participants to help them achieve their goals and live their best lives. Where every day is an opportunity to make a real difference.

What you\’ll do:

  • Support participants through the NDIS journey through assisting with their scheme access, plan development, implementation of funded supports and plan reviews.
  • Help participants build confidence, independence and informal support networks.
  • Ensure timely, high quality service delivery in line with performance targets.
  • Build partnerships with local organisations, attend events and promote inclusion through grassroots engagement.
  • Use NDIS and Feros Care systems to document participant interactions, monitor progress, and identify service gaps.
  • Ensure you work is aligned with NDIA guidelines, the PitC Deed and Feros Care\’s internal standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, regional planning and initiatives that promote inclusion, cultural safety and continuous improvement.

What you\’ll bring:

  • Experience supporting people with disability in community services, social work, or similar settings.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS participant pathway and planning processes.
  • Proven ability to manage caseloads and meet service delivery targets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Strong community engagement and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Experience in data entry, reporting and case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently in community based settings.
  • A commitment to person centred practice, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Checks:

  • Qualification in community services, disability, social work, or a related field (desirable)
  • Current driver\’s license and reliable transport to travel locally.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check & Working with Children\’s Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Undergo a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
  • Valid Australian Working Rights.
  • Lived experience of disability is highly valued.
