The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

  • Serve as first or second in command on 3-4 account teams coaching and managing those below you while taking responsibility for strategic direction and tactical decisions.

  • Collaborate with senior management to establish clear goals and hold teams accountable for their performance.

  • Be a role model and lead by example in both managing and doing amazing work

  • Build trusting relationships with clients to provide impactful advice and support.

  • Seek external expertise – media, business, policy, academia, research – and use it to improve your consultations and analysis

  • Identify operational efficiencies and opportunities for collaboration within the firm.

Communications Strategy & Execution:

  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders and provide strategic counsel and insight, often on a short timeframe.

  • Create media strategies and storytelling opportunities and adapting them in response to a changing media environment.

  • Pitch, build and maintain a media network at top-tier outlets and trades for multiple clients and colleagues.

Business Development:

  • Drive the conversion of new business opportunities while extending relationships, SOWs and offerings with existing clients.

  • Cultivate an external network that attracts new clients and reaches potential business referrers.

  • Showing entrepreneurial thinking internally by identifying opportunities for collaboration, skills building and knowledge sharing

Fostering a Collaborative Environment:

  • Manage team development, setting goals that encourage individual performance and growth.

  • Foster a culture of feedback (both providing and receiving), allyship, and support for team well-being.

  • 8 – 10 years of corporate communications experience within investor and/or any of the aforementioned B2B tech sectors.

  • Leadership experience both as a team / account lead and with mentoring and supporting more junior team-members.

  • Desire to be hands-on in advising both clients and colleagues. Not only do you proof-read materials and participate in brainstorms but you can also draft the copy and lead them.

  • Strong media relations and media strategy experience within the tech space. Specifically, you can lead media training, have a network of national tech and trade journalists, are passionate about corporate storytelling, and, of course, are hands-on with pitching.

  • Experience leading new business opportunities, such as RFPs, renewing/upselling current clients, and seeking out net-new opportunities.

  • Real interest in the latest happenings in tech, have an opinion on what is going on in the wide world around you, and the forever changing innovations.

It would be a plus if the Associate Director also had:

  • Exposure to tech research, policy, media, or campaigns.

  • Experience as a journalist in the technology or financial markets sector.

  • Proven success in leading new business conversations and RFP processes.
