Job Description
Our client, a specialist equipment brand, have an urgent requirement for a permanent Workshop Assembler to join their team based in East London.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will be responsible for:
- Assembling a wide rage of specialist equipment from start to finish, ensuring full functionality and compliance with technical and quality standards.
- Interpreting and applying mechanical and electrical drawings and instructions with precision, supported by in-house training where where necessary
- Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Conducting tests and adjustments of assembled products to ensure proper operation and adherence to company specifications
- Adhering to strict health and safety procedures.
- Identifying and reporting faults or discrepancies in materials, components or instructions to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Collaborating effectively with team members
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical/electronic drawings.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow procedures.
- Good record keeping and documentation practices
- Proven experience in mechanical or electrical assembly.
- Experience in using hand tools and power tools
- Practical use of basic electrical test equipment.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm.
