Support Worker
Salary: £12.75 per hour with an additional £1 per hour on weekends and Bank Holidays
Brainkind is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals utilize expert neurorehabilitation to support individuals in regaining lost skills. We treat a range of brain injuries resulting from trauma, illness, substance abuse, and more, helping individuals recover and achieve their personal goals. This role involves working with physically disabled adults with complex needs at a purpose-built facility with excellent community access. Your role is to support individuals, helping them meet their needs and develop skills and confidence for independent living or returning home. Activities may include community outings such as swimming, cinema visits, sports events, and concerts, tailored to individual interests.
You will accompany and support these inspiring individuals as they overcome challenges, reach milestones, and achieve their goals. Your work can make a significant difference and inspire your colleagues.
The Role
This position is based at Jane Percy House, a 25-bed purpose-built unit in Cramlington, Northumberland, providing care and support to people with physical disabilities and complex needs. Facilities include a sensory room and sensory garden.
Training will be provided to support personalized care. During induction, you will learn how to work alongside and support residents, following individual support plans to meet their needs and aspirations.

The role involves a 4-week rota, including evenings and weekends. Personal care is a requirement for supporting residents.
