Were looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to manage our day-to-day purchasing operations, raise orders, and ensure smooth stock availability while working closely with various departments. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that is passionate about staff development, progression, and delivering exceptional results.
In this role, you will proactively manage the purchasing process, raising purchase orders based on stock requirements and overseeing day-to-day operations of the Purchasing Department. Your timely execution of tasks will be key to ensuring we maintain smooth operations and meet business demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Review MRP results daily to identify stock demand and raise purchase orders to suppliers accordingly
- Raise ad-hoc purchase orders when demand falls outside of MRP
- Manage the purchasing inbox, ensuring timely action of inquiries
- Run reports and carry out resulting actions promptly to meet departmental targets
- Collaborate closely with the Stock Controller to ensure optimal stock availability
- Identify potential improvements to processes and report findings to the Sales Fulfilment Manager
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the department

- Strong decision-making skills with a customer-focused approach
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A keen eye for detail, with the ability to handle and analyse data effectively
- Numeracy skills are essential for collating and interpreting purchasing data
- Familiarity with cross-department operations is a bonus
In return you can expect a basic salary of ÂŁ27,000 pa plus bonus and a range of benefits including but not limited to 26 days holidays plus bank holidays, hybrid working, Monday to Friday day and an early finish of 2:00 on a Friday, contributory private health care and much more
