Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required.

Semester: Fall 2025 Semester

Adjunct Faculty: Chemistry

The instructor will be responsible for helping to prepare and to teach a 16-week live fall course: Developmental Chemistry. The instructor must be available during the scheduled in person course time, and ideally should be experienced in Canvas LMS.

Developmental Chemistry: 25-Aug-25 to 13-Dec-25 Tuesdays 1:00 PM – 3:50 PM.

Course: CHEM043 – Developmental Chemistry

This high-school-level course in chemistry examines the structure of matter and the nature of chemical reactions. Particular attention will be given to the types of reactions that apply to the health field. These credits do not count toward graduation requirements.

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.

The compensation rate is $825-$975 per contact. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

The Minimum Qualifications For The Position Are As Follows

Education: Master’s degree in chemistry or related area.

Experience: Experience teaching or working in the field of science.

Licensure: n/a
