Ward & Connolly is an independent insurance brokerage firm based in Columbus Ohio specializing in life, disability, and long-term care insurance. Our clients include high net worth individuals and families as well as white collar professionals. We work with financial planning firms, accounting firms, banks, and law firms throughout Ohio to assist their clients with insurance and estate planning.
We are seeking a full-time in-person employee to join our three person team. Your job duties would include:
- Becoming familiar with all aspects of the business including in-force policy analysis, insurance underwriting, client servicing and policy administration.
- Establish a fundamental knowledge of insurance and its role in estate and financial planning.
- Learn our software and proprietary modules to efficiently prepare deliverables for clients and their advisors.
- Assist the lead advisor in day-to-day tasks covering many aspects of the planning process.
A qualified candidate would have:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university (preferred)
- Industry licensing and/or professional designations (or be willing to get them)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient with Excel
- No prior insurance or industry knowledge required
This role will play a pivotal role in the continued success and growth of our firm. The ideal candidate will thrive working independently and in a supporting role. A curiosity to learn will be important as the duties of the role grow as your industry knowledge expands.
Base Salary: $45,000 – $60,000 subject to experience and expertise.
