This role is ideal for someone with a relevant qualification looking to begin a career in construction design. You\’ll gain hands-on experience producing technical drawings and working on live projects, with support and mentoring from experienced professionals.Key Responsibilities
- Create 2D CAD drawings to support project design, approvals, and installation
- Interpret technical specifications, architectural drawings, and client requirements
- Work collaboratively with other team members to produce accurate detailing
- Assist with material scheduling and maintaining drawing records
- Liaise with internal teams and external contacts to ensure timely delivery of information
- Contribute to progress reporting and occasional site or design meetings
Candidate Profile
- HNC/HND or degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Architectural Technology, Construction, Design Engineering, Civil Engineering)
- Competent in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D or Revit is a plus)
- Good attention to detail, numeracy, and communication skills
- Organised and capable of managing tasks to meet deadlines
