Temporary Accounts Assistant – Cullompton – £26 – £30k FTE
Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively assigned by our client who is looking for a proactive Accounts Assistant to support their busy finance team, ideally someone who is available to start at short notice. This role will commence on a temporary basis initially; however, it very quickly could become permanent and will operate out of the company’s headquarters in Cullompton.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing invoicing processes, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business, using your problem-solving skills and numerical accuracy to support a range of essential finance functions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting credit control and following up on outstanding debts
- Processing and posting customer invoices and receipts
- Reconciling credit card and company accounts
- Coordinating with the production team
- Assisting with monthend reporting
- Maintaining wellorganised financial documentation and systems
For this role we seek a candidate who possesses at least 12 months’ experience in a bookkeeping or a similar finance role coupled with strong numerical ability and attention to detail. Vocational experience trumps qualification status in this instance and this post requires a hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Clear and concise communication skills are a must and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be advantageous.
