Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Hackney Pay: £90-£105 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term The Opportunity: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with complex needs? Long Term Futures is looking for an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision within a school in Hackney. This role involves providing tailored support to pupils with a range of complex needs, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with children with complex needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or severe learning difficulties (SLD). A strong understanding of strategies to support pupils with sensory, communication, and mobility challenges. Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with additional needs. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to individual pupil requirements.Key responsibilities: Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex needs. Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies. Supporting pupils with personal care needs, where required, including feeding and mobility assistance. Creating and maintaining a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure each child receives tailored support.
