We are looking for a machine operator to join our business near Brigg. You will be working in an excellent facility with a greatteam.

You will be working Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, this is a temp to perm role with a salary of £12.21P/H whilst training which increases after 12 weeks.

Main Responsibilities

  • Production of Finished Packs – Produce finished products according to product specifications, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Safe Machinery Operation – Operate packing machinery in a safe manner, following specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
  • Date Coding Compliance – Ensure present, legible, and correct Best Before date coding details are included on all packs as per Batch Sheet instructions.
  • Printed Information Quality – Verify that all hot foiled printed information is clear, correctly positioned, and meets quality standards.
  • Seal Inspection – Check that all seals on packs are correctly positioned and of sufficient strength to maintain product integrity.
  • Outer Case Labelling – Ensure outer cases carry correct information relative to the contents, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Material Collection and Return – Collect cases, film, and product for each production run and return them after use, ensuring efficient material utilisation.
  • Production Reporting – Update Visma Planning/Production Reporting system to ensure accurate information is always available, contributing to effective production planning and monitoring.
  • Team Supervision – Effectively supervise and utilise the packing team, providing guidance and support as needed to optimise productivity and performance.
  • Documentation Completion – Complete all relevant sections of the Product Inspection Record and Product Batch Sheet according to product-specific requirements, maintaining accurate records.
  • Shelf-Life Samples – Retain shelf-life samples as required for quality control purposes, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Issue Reporting – Report any machinery, equipment, or product issues to a manager promptly, facilitating timely resolution and minimising production disruptions.
  • Cleanliness and Hygiene – Enforce a \”clean as you go\” policy, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the work area and local vicinity, and recording hygiene duties as required.
  • Health and Safety Compliance – Follow Health and Safety Rules rigorously, demonstrating a good level of Personal Hygiene at all times, and contributing to a safe working environment.
  • Additional Duties – Perform any other related duties as requested by a manager, supporting the overall efficiency and success of the production process.

The Person

  • Location Must have own transport to get to site
  • Experience previous machine minding experience ideal, can demonstrate production experience in work history, can demonstrate quality checking as part of previous roles
  • Skills operating and manning automated machines, quality checking products, completion of data and paperwork, eye for detail, can work on own initiative
  • Expectations to attend work Monday to Friday on time, be trained for 11 weeks and move to a permanent role
