About the Role
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of mobile plant on site
- Perform incidental welding operations and other mechanical repair work as required
- Perform inspections and test mechanical units
- Use of oxy/acetylene gas cutting equipment, abrasive wheel cutting
- Welding using mig and arc welding equipment
- Ability to use power and hand tools
- Must be able to work as part of a team and individually
Qualifications
- Qualified / certified welder
- Minimum 3 years’ additional experience
- Strong diagnostics capabilities and have pride in their work.
- Must be organised & self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated team player with a strong sense of commitment to the team
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions via written, verbal, or diagram form
- Professional demeanour and superior team service skills
- Be able to work shift work and extra hours as required to keep up with business demands
- Line boring experience would be advantageous
