We are currently recruiting a Biosolids 360 Machine Operative to work on-site. The purpose of this role is to safely drive and operate the Division’s vehicles and stockpile biosolids. This is referred to as CAKE. You will be required to transfer the CAKE to different points. You may also be required to refuel different machines within the Thames Water site.
A Plant Machine Operator is referred to as a Biosolids Operator internally.
What you’ll be doing as a Biosolids 360 Machine Operative
- Driving and operating the Division’s vehicles.
- Operating Plant Machinery in a safe manner.
- Driving and operating an excavator to Thames Water standards.
- Shovelling the CAKE for delivery using a Loading Shovel.
- Refuelling machinery across the Thames Water site.
- Operating equipment professionally, with consideration and by the law.
Either Farnham STW, Guildford STW or Iver STW.
What you should bring to the role
- A Driving Licence is essential in this role as a Van is provided.
- Experience using a 360-degree excavator is essential, approximately 15 tons plus.
- Experience using a Loading Shovel is desirable.
- CITB using wheeled loaders is desirable.
