Job Title: Engineering Technician (Shift)
Location: Leeds
Job Length: Permanent Working Hours: 36.5, 12 hour shift, 6am – 6pm, 6pm – 6am

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Engineering Technician to join our team at Britvic, a leading company in the Food & Beverages industry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production facilities. With a passion for excellence and a collaborative mindset, you will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality products that enhance life\’s everyday moments.

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on production equipment and machinery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and operational procedures
  • Conduct equipment inspections and maintain accurate records
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel as needed
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency optimization

Experience and Key Attributes

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Technician or a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands‑on experience with industrial equipment and machinery
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Proficient in using relevant software and computer applications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Education

  • Level 3 NVQ in Engineering
  • HND/HNC Qualification
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Engineering

Certifications

  • Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable
