Public Health Principal – Drug and Alcohol Strategic Commissioner £500 per day (umbrella) Remote with occasional on-site requirement (West Midlands) 3 months, full-time (37 hours per week) Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Public Health Principal – Drug and Alcohol Strategic Commissioner. This is a key opportunity to lead and drive all-age drug and alcohol strategic and commissioning programmes, delivering meaningful outcomes and reducing inequalities for individuals and communities. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all-age drug and alcohol strategic commissioning programmes, including prevention, treatment, and recovery initiatives. Oversee procurement and contracting processes for substance use services, working collaboratively with procurement, finance, and legal teams. Interpret complex data sources, such as Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNA) and NDTMS data, to inform decisions. Develop and manage projects using project and change management tools, ensuring programmes are delivered effectively. Build and maintain strong networks with health and social care teams, service providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
