The post holder will effectively be responsible for leading commercial projects and managing a small team capable of providing SPS customer departments and external stakeholders with a professional service that will meet the operational and business needs of SPS.

The post holder will promote both Social Value and value for money for SPS.

Although based at SPS Fauldhouse, the post holder will predominantly carry out their duties under a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities: Produce, implement and maintain a sales and marketing strategy for SPS prison industries (projecting demand for new and existing Pl products and services) Develop and maintain the pricing and costing strategy for prison industries (liaison with production planning) Advise on new trends and opportunities for prison industries (based on likely demand, financial and social value contribution and Prison Industries capability & capacity) Develop and implement a set of commercial KPls for Prison Industries – provide regular performance reports/ dashboard Undertake direct sales and marketing of SPS Prison Industries products and services. Develop standard methods for this using face to face, telephone and the development of an online presence for Prison Industries Produce agreements with external customers and partners – including sales agreements, employability partnership agreements and other service agreements as appropriate. Whilst it is unlikely you will be assessed on all of them , you will be assessed on these identified as key to role.Qualifications Requirements Degree in a commercial or related discipline (such as finance) or 2 years experience in a commercial or related discipline (essential) Experience Requirements Knowledge Skills Requirements A track record of developing successful and longstanding commercial relationships with external parties. (essential) A track record of developing, growing and maintaining a customer base over a sustained period of time. (essential) Experience of setting up and operating a suite of performance metrics/KPls in a commercial setting and reporting on these.
