Here at GXO, we’re looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our ASOS team in Barnsley. This is your opportunity to play a key role in shaping the employee experience and driving a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced logistics environment. As our HR Advisor, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things people-related within your designated area.
This role is being offered on a 12-Month Fixed-Term contract, working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 10:30 till 19:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to£38,000 per annum, and 33 days annual leave (inclusive bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance, and policy matters
- Support the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to disciplinary and exit processes
- Coach and empower line managers to build high-performing teams aligned with GXO values
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics including headcount, turnover, and absence
- Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and contribute to the Site People Plan
What you need to succeed at GXO :
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards this
- Strong ER casework background with solid knowledge of UK employment law
- Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor/Officer role
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A collaborative, flexible, and solutions-focused mindset
