Senior Employee Relations Manager- Permanent

Northampton- Hybrid

Salary- Up to £85,000

The Senior Employee Relations Manager is to lead a high-performing ER team and shape the future of employee experience at a major UK-based organisation. This role champions the businesses culture and engagement across a large, dynamic business. You\’ll lead a team of experienced ER professionals, influence senior stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping how the organisation supports its people through the moments that matter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a forward-thinking employee relations strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Inspire and develop a team of ER specialists, ensuring high-quality, proactive case management and coaching support for line managers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, offering expert guidance on complex ER issues.
  • Stay ahead of employment law changes and ensure the business remains compliant and protected.
  • Oversee ACAS conciliation and employment tribunal preparation in partnership with external providers.
  • Use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve employee well being and ER practices.
  • Lead the review and communication of employee policies, ensuring they reflect best practice and legal updates.
  • Collaborate on initiatives that support inclusion and diversity, and bring fresh thinking from the external market.

Key Attributes:

  • Proven experience in a senior ER role with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practices.
  • Experience using case management systems and interpreting ER data.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience).
  • A proactive, ethical, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
