Salary: The salary range for this position is £33,000 – £39,500 per year, however the base salary offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and drive assortment strategies for your product class, including curating and iterating on the product offering and shelving plan.
  • Identify opportunities for category growth using competitive analysis, trend research, and internal performance data.
  • Partner with Category Management, Suppliers, Creative, Marketing, Analytics, and Brand to bring the selection to life across digital and print channels.
  • Maintain awareness of trends and customer needs to identify new assortment opportunities; curate lines with external suppliers to deliver compelling newness.
  • Own financial outcomes for products placed on premium shelf spaces; regularly assess performance and adjust assortment and shelf space allocation as needed.
  • Travel: Domestic travel (4x/month) to QC & Video Studio operations; International travel (1-2x/year) for industry trade shows as relevant.

What You’ll Do

Execute against ambitious goals to shape the forthcoming curation strategy, understand the competitive market for your class, and build/maintain a category assortment strategy for Wayfair Verified items. Develop a shelf space plan and actively manage the product offering, deciding which products to highlight across marketing channels with robust stakeholder alignment. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure the class range is competitive in product and price, and stay attuned to tomorrow’s best sellers.

Your success requires tenacity, agility, speed, an analytical mindset, collaboration, influence, and a competitive spirit. You’ll monitor assortment health using KPIs and OKRs, and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree, or qualified by experience.
  • Experience buying or merchandising trend-driven categories, curating assortments from diverse vendors, and creating compelling assortment presentations is highly preferred.
  • Strong data analysis skills, ability to interpret performance trends, and apply learnings to the business.
  • Creative sense, elevated taste, passion for product, and interest in industry trends, product design, and home decorating is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills; ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to align and execute goals.
  • Comfort thriving in a high-growth environment with ambiguity; capable of “scrappy start-up” style execution.
  • Self-starter with potential to define a creative/strategic vision and drive impact within the team.
  • Ability to work from Wayfair’s London office 3 days per week, with 1 day per week at Wayfair’s Verified Studio in Birmingham and one day remote, including travel for competitor diligence and trade shows.
