Salary- The starting salary is ÂŁ45,131, which includes allowances totalling ÂŁ2,928.

The salary is broken down as ÂŁ 42,203 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale ÂŁ47,668. Plus, a location allowance of ÂŁ1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of ÂŁ1,000.
We’re seeking an IT professional with training expertise to join the Technology Pillar at Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters. You’ll be responsible for creating and delivering bespoke training programmes for over 100 staff members working in the Customer Service Centre (CSC), as well as providing flexible, cross-functional support to ensure staff can confidently use key systems, tools, and platforms. This will be achieved both independently and in collaboration with technical subject matter experts.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Technology Pillar Support Teams, CSC, project, testers, developers, business, national/regional training function) to understand their technical training requirements and the technology to be implemented.
- Assist with the development of technical and non-technical learning strategies for projects outlining plans, resources, deliverables, assumptions and risks.
- Assist the CSC Training Manager and CSC Senior Training Officer in conducting technical training needs analyses, skills gap analyses, and produce training delivery strategy, training evaluations documentation and lessons learned conclusions.
- Adhere to the Technology Pillar Training Team’s strategy and engagement processes.
- Represent the team at meetings and Working Groups, when required, to report on progress, obtain sign off of documentation and confirm decisions and deliverables. Provide updates to the CSC Training Manager and CSC Senior Training Officer on progress, risks, issues and successes.
- Design and develop bespoke training courses (to national CTP standards), including lesson plans, exercise workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, support guides etc. (independently and/or in collaboration with subject matter experts).
- Schedule and deliver training, where required, to agreed technical support staff/end user groups using classroom, one-to-one, coaching, remote training etc. in accordance with approved training approach.
- Responsible for the programme supervision, discipline and welfare of students whilst they are on the course and to provide the necessary support and encouragement required for them and their mentors in the workplace.
- Shared responsibility with other training team colleagues to keep Technology Pillar training records and skills matrix up to date and identify and submit bi-annual and ad-hoc external training requirements for the department.
- Any other activities that contribute to the successful delivery of technical training in the CTPHQ Technology Pillar.
