We are currently seeking to recruit a Media Production Coordinator reporting directly to the Digital & Multimedia Manager. They will play a key role in coordinating workflow within the team, whilst being able to direct, shoot and edit footage in accordance with brand guidelines and supporting escalation queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a detailed schedule for multimedia content (videos, podcasts, livestreams, webinars).
  • Assess and distribute workload to meet KPIs, coordinating with internal and external teams for realistic timelines.
  • Act as the primary contact for scheduling and studio queries.
  • Stay updated on multimedia best practices to enhance efficiencies.
  • Support the team throughout the production process.
  • Manage video production equipment and ensure assets meet editorial standards.
  • Integrate workflow management, process documentation (e.g., RAMS), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilise project management principles and scheduling tools effectively.
  • Collaborate with Calex management, leadership, and key stakeholders to achieve KPIs and SLAs

  • Must have a deep understanding of and appreciation for the creative process – story telling, conceptualising, filming, sound, lighting, etc.
  • Have the ability to direct, shoot and edit footage in accordance with brand guidelines.
  • Be self-sufficient, tech-savvy with extensive experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud products, e.g. Premiere Pro and After Effects, and an understanding of video formats and codecs
  • Experience working with designers, animators, and motion graphics artists
  • Be a creative and conceptual thinker with creative energy and ideas
  • Ability to travel if required

Salary & Benefits

Up to £30,000 dependent on experience, 25 Days Paid Annual Leave. Calex Employee Benefits Package (inc. High Street Discounts, Online GP, Welfare Scheme).

Pre-employment Checks
Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated references, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). The nature of this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.

Employment

The successful candidate will be employed by Calex UK (www.calexuk.com). Calex are a specialist automotive training provider and provide training staff and expertise including Trainers, Developers, Digital Learning Experts, and Administrators to Volkswagen Group UK. The successful candidate will join an established team, at the VWG National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.

Place of Work

VWG National Learning Centre, Wymbush, Milton Keynes.We currently operate hybrid working with at least 60% of time in the National Learning Centre with the opportunity to work up to 40% remotely. Time spent in the office may change.There will also be times when it may be necessary to work out of hours and/or from alternative locations, e.g. VWG facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role. Flexibility to accommodate this is required.
