Our Construction client in the Cookstown area require and Accounts Technician to join their busy Finance Department. Reporting directly into a Finance Manager your primary responsibility will be to provide bookkeeping support for the finance team and prepare year end accounts and financial statements for the company.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of annual accounts for small companies ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines.
- Prepare Quarterly VAT Returns
- Submission of accounts to companies house;
- Cash Book postings;
- Monthly bank reconciliations;
- Sales Ledger management including Debtor statement reconciliations
- Maintain accurate filing system for invoices/statements;
- Assist with general accounts and banking duties as required;
- Any other duties as required by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Be Qualified or Part Qualified Accounts Technician (AAT or IATI)
- Have at least 1 years experience in a busy finance department.
- Have previous experience in MS office applications including Word and Excel.
- Previous experience in SAGE Accounts Production desirable
- Be highly motivated and be capable of working on their own initiative and without supervision
- Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Exhibit excellent organisational skills and attention to detail along with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience of handling large volumes of work, working to tight deadlines where attention to detail is required.
- Have the ability to quickly adapt to various sets of computerised accounts.
- Candidates should have the appropriate work permit or the right to work in the UK
