The Team:

The LGH Transit Lounge is a unit within the Patient Access and Flow department. Operating in a fast-paced environment, it manages a high volume of patients between 08:30 and 18:00, Monday to Friday. The lounge supports patients who are awaiting discharge, transfer, or admission to an available bed.
Our dedicated nursing team is committed to delivering the highest standard of care.
As a small and collaborative unit, the Transit Lounge offers valuable opportunities for professional growth and development.

The Role:

The Enrolled Nurse plays a vital role in delivering holistic patient care and fostering a safe, supportive environment.
They provide evidence-based care aligned with the nursing care plan, under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse actively contributes to the planning and evaluation of patient care and health information in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
They participate in multidisciplinary discussions to support the achievement of desired patient outcomes and operate under the direction of the Registered Nurse and the Nurse Unit Manager.

You will need

At all times, the Enrolled Nurse is expected to adhere to relevant policies and protocols, including those related to mandatory education, training, and competency assessments.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 12 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:$70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse(holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)
