Job Details

Title: Business Support Administrator Employment type: Part‑time, Permanent Salary: £24,413 – £25,185 per annum (pro rata) Hours per week: 30.5 Work base: Gedling Family Hub Network (including Netherfield, Calverton, Arnbrook and Killisick Hubs) Working arrangements: Office based Working pattern: Monday – Thursday, 08:30‑04:30 (three days) and 08:30‑05:00 (one day)

Role Overview

This role supports the Children’s Centre Service and the expanding Family Hub Networks across Gedling District. It involves a range of administrative duties across multiple sites and serves as a gateway for families, young people and their support networks.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Remain well organised, demonstrating initiative in managing workloads.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to changing work demands.
  • Employ problem‑solving skills to address day‑to‑day challenges.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Use MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint proficiently; receive training on specialist systems used within the service.
  • Input data accurately and maintain strict confidentiality under the General Data Protection Regulations.
  • Travel between sites as required, holding a full driving licence and having access to a vehicle (a taxi service will be provided where disability precludes driving).

Requirements and Qualifications

Prior administrative experience or equivalent, with strong organisational and communication skills. Must hold a full driving licence and be willing to comply with GDPR requirements. Basic computer literacy and the willingness to learn additional specialist systems are essential.
