Childcare Practitioner – Level 2 + – Full Time – 8:00 am to 5:30 pm – £10.70 per hour

Duties:
- Responsibility for a varied age range of children from zero to eleven years, including early years (zero to five) and primary school age (five to eleven), similar to childminding.
- Work with children of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs, with support from the SENCO, staff team, and outside agencies as required.
- Arrange activities and experiences based on children\’s interests, abilities, and the setting\’s seasonal themes.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, including handwashing and cleaning tasks, and attend to children\’s hygiene needs.
- Assist children with personal care, hygiene, and toileting needs.
- Participate in daily cleaning and tidying duties with the team.
- Assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups from Halling Primary or Valley Invicta Primary at Holborough Lakes, if required.
- Manage your workload confidently, focusing on your key children and the EYFS framework, while working supportively within a team.
- Attend monthly team meetings and occasional training outside working hours.
- Participate in evening or weekend events, such as open days, celebrations, and parent information sessions.
- Adhere to rules and boundaries within the setting, supporting positive behaviour and providing continuity of care.
- Build positive relationships with parents, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality, and liaising confidently about children\’s progress.
- Ensure confidentiality in line with Data Protection regulations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare
- Enhanced DBS check
