About the role

We\’re excited to be looking for External Verifiers to join our Quality Assurance team at Active IQ.

We have 2 vacancies covering the following geographical locations:

  • Northeast England, Scotland and Northern Ireland
  • East Midlands, Southeast England and East Anglia
  • The successful candidates will be working alongside an experienced team of quality assurance experts who all have extensive backgrounds within educational based roles as well as their invaluable industry experience working within the Active Leisure sector.

    In this role you’ll have the opportunity to utilise your experience and expertise within the education field and support centres in the effective delivery of Active IQ qualifications. You’ll be required to evaluate centre performance based upon clear objective criteria, and to work collaboratively with our customers to address any risks that are identified, sharing best practice recommendations to further improve their delivery and performance

    Key responsibilities:

    • Act as EV on behalf of Active IQ, visiting approved centres to carry out this role.
    • Support centres through the approval process and provide ongoing technical support as required.
    • Advise centres on internal quality assurance, programme delivery and assessment best practice.
    • Prepare accurate and timely QA reports on Active Intel associated in accordance with the EV strategy and established operating procedures.

    We\’d love to hear from you if you hold the following key skills and experience:

    Successful applicants must hold-

    • Extensive qualifications within the active leisure sector (including Level 2 Gym and Level 3 Personal Trainer as a minimum)
    • Extensive experience working within delivery, assessment and internal quality assurance within the active leisure sector
    • High levels of both spoken and written communication skills
    • IV/IQA qualification (D34/V1 or equivalent)
    • Assessor qualification (D32/33/A1 or equivalent)

    As part of the EV role, the successful candidate will receive full training and support to achieve the EV (V2) qualification within the first 12 months of employment. Candidate involvement within additional projects will be identified followed successful achievement of the probationary period.
