Our Client based in Gillingham, Kent is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader (office based role).
Location: Gillingham, Kent
Hours: Rotating shifts, Monday to Friday
Monday to Thursday – 6am to 2pm rotating 2pm to 10pm
Friday 6am to 1pm rotating to 1pm to 8pm

To mentor and manage a team of Production Assembly Operatives (electronics industry) – assigning daily tasks, basic HR management – performance, recruitment, absence etc
- Motivated, team player
- Education level – min of GCSE – Maths and English
- Ideally Production Line Assembly work experience at Team Leader level, desirable electronics industry
- Technical skills – Essential: Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows Word Excel etc
- Desirable: SAP Business 1
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Proactive, likes to take responsibility
- Good problem solver with good time management skills
- High attention to detail
- Production planning and assignment of daily and weekly tasks and activities to Assembly Operatives.
- First level people management including but not limited to, recruitment, new staff inductions, absence meetings in line with The Bradford Factor, investigatory meetings in line with the Company disciplinary procedure, approving holiday and overtime requests and performance reviews.
- Maintaining training/skills matrix, grading reviews and training requests.
- Deliver key KPI’s and targets through the team.
- Attend and facilitate the running of daily production staff meetings and team leader meetings.
- Contribute to the efficiency of the production lines and quality of products.
- Management of stock and inventories via SAP, maintaining usage data to support Procurements forecasting activities.
- Working with Engineering Team to oversee maintenance of equipment and to develop strong business relationships.
- Support the Production Manager when raising purchase requests, working to company budgets and restraints.
- To provide training to Line Leader cover and assist with sickness and holiday cover on behalf of other team leaders within production.
