Coventry Building Society have a rewarding new opportunity for a Scrum Master to join our CIDO function. This role will showcase demonstratable knowledge on agile theory and its practical application through frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum and Kanban. This role will require 1 – 2 days per week on site at the CBS Binley campus.
This role will support one of our delivery teams, coaching the team to become self-managing, high performing and cross-functional to ensure high-value and quality outcomes for our members and colleagues. Playing a key role in building inclusive, safe, collaborative, and commercially productive environments and taking a proactive approach to resolving issues, removing blockers and impediments so the teams can progress whilst resolving conflicts as required.
This role requires you to be on-site in Coventry 1 – 2 days per week for collaboration with peers and other CIDO events.
About you
You’ll be an effective and self-aware servant leader to dynamic agile teams, with great resilience, you will need to maintain energy and enthusiasm and be able to work well in high-pressure situations collaborating with senior stakeholders to advise and influence key decisions on ways of working, scrum maturity and agile adoption.
To be successful in this role, it’s essential that you’re able to demonstrate:
- Planning and scoping of the required work to act as the framework for delivery. Working with the PMO and Release Train Engineer to manage budget expenditure
- RAID management – management of risks and issues and dependencies through the PI and scrum processes
- Matrix management: ability to bridge the gap between technical teams, the project, and the wider business
- Utilising principles of servant leadership to enact tracking, escalation, and blocker removal for risk modelling teams
- Delivery governance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement/management and 3rd party supplier management.
- Coach and mentor Product Owner and Development Team to deliver business value more efficiently.
- Live by the values and practices of Scrum and embed the Agile culture at all levels.
- Assesses the Scrum maturity and act upon it.
Desirable skills for this role are:
- Strong 3rd party supplier management.
- Experience in PowerBI delivery with a mixed onshore/offshore model
- Rapid delivery for data products with conceptions to MVP release
