Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team at Spring Lodge.
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a full UK manual driving licence.
As a Support Worker, you\’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support, playing a vital role in their lives.
Spring Lodge is home to four gentlemen who require support with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and communication difficulties. They may display challenging behaviours at times. Support Workers provide physical and emotional support, including assistance with personal care, medication, finances, eating, and drinking, in line with Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs) to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.

- Patience and Understanding: Important for navigating challenging situations effectively.
- Conflict-Resolution Techniques: Necessary for managing and resolving conflicts constructively.
What we\’re looking for:

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options:
Part-time: 21 hours and 35 hours
Our services operate 24-hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance, allowing you to plan your personal and social life!
- Days: Between 07:00-22:00
