This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.

The hourly range for this position is between $26/hr and $32/hr and will depend upon experience.

This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.

Position Summary:

Data Device Corporation is currently seeking an IT Desktop Support Technician to join their growing Information Systems team. This hands-on position focuses on end-user support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and workstation deployment, with opportunities to assist in server maintenance and infrastructure tasks. This position requires a strong customer service mindset, and a desire to grow their technical expertise across both desktop and back-end systems.

Key Position Accountabilities:

  • Build, configure, and image Windows-based desktops and laptops for internal use.
  • Install, replace, and set up new hardware (desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, etc.).
  • Maintain and track inventory of IT assets including PCs, monitors, and accessories.
  • Respond to support tickets related to hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft Office, Windows OS, email clients, and basic networking issues.
  • Support new hire onboarding by provisioning equipment and assisting with account setup.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on larger projects such as office moves, network upgrades, or device rollouts.
  • Maintain documentation for processes, device configurations, and recurring issues.
  • Optionally assist with basic server maintenance tasks, including patching and account management.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in desktop or IT support.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11, basic networking, and common productivity tools.
  • Experience with imaging tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM, Clonezilla, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of PC hardware and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (equipment handling).

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Windows Server, or M365 Admin Center.
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, batch files) or automation tools.
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified).
