Job Summary ASC Cartons is currently recruiting for a Sales Manager role based in Shipley, West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an industry leader at their fifty thousand square foot manufacturing site. ASC Cartons has a unique offering for both local and national supply and has been supplying high quality corrugated boxes for over 40 years from their well-equipped factory in Bradford. This role is a new one and entails being responsible for developing new business within the region as well as looking after some long-standing existing customers. You will need to have the skills to engage with companies from many industries, introducing ASC Cartons (and its sister company, ASC Direct) to help those companies benefit from the products and services on offer. We are looking for an enthusiastic sales person who wants to develop their career with a young, vibrant business. ASC Cartons are part of a network of sheet plants around the UK with some ambitious plans. Duties * Sourcing and winning new business in the North of the UK * Managing and developing existing accounts * Developing a healthy sales pipeline * Presenting packaging solutions to customers * Leading negotiations with customers and influencing key stakeholders * Managing multiple accounts and achieving sales quotas * Gaining knowledge of competitors and analysing market trends * Providing excellent customer service * Improving aspects of the Sales process – customer focus, customer care, effectiveness of the sales processes etc * Any other reasonable duties as agreed Requirements * Commercial awareness: Is alert to economic conditions, business opportunities and competitors’ activity. Sound commercial acumen * Strategic perspective: Defines a long-term business development vision, accurately identifying opportunities and threats * Communication: Gets the message across clearly and unambiguously, creating the appropriate impact. Create rapport with contacts instantly using a consultative sales approach and excellent customer service skills * Achievement focus: Shows drive and determination in overcoming obstacles. A self-motivated individual who is able to prioritise own workload * Resilience: Keeps calm and in control in difficult and/or stressful situations. Confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated and determined Qualifications & Experience * Proven FMCG manufacturing sales experience * Previous packaging industry experience within the Sheet Plant Sector is desirable, but not essential * Local knowledge of industry * Good IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) * Hold a valid UK driving licence
