Job Description:
- Accountable to the UK Security Director for security across physical, personnel and Information security portfolios to ensure that ICI EMEA is properly serviced to comply with the contractual requirements imposed by its customer base consisting of International Government and multiple UK Government / MOD contracting authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable as the designated HMG Security Controller in accordance with the Security Policy Framework. Act as the primary point of contact for all Government Contracting Authorities and for ensuring the application of security controls for the appropriate protection of personnel, physical and information assets.
- Management and development of a team delivering security to the business across all security domains to facilitate policy and strategy implementation.
- Lead and direct technical professionals in Information Security.
- Accountable for the ongoing certification to ISO 27001. Reviewing, rationalising, revising and aligning ISMS policies with business strategy.
- Accountable for ensuring compliance with HMG Customer and Corporate security requirements in support of current and future contracts.
- Alignment of local policies with Corporate policy flow down.
- Accountable to the contracting authority for Security Aspects Letters (SAL) and managing the flow down of SAL requirements to 3rd parties / subcontractors.
- Accountable for Defence Cyber Protection Partnership (DCPP) compliance.
- Accountable for the security requirements of all overseas travel to meet with HMG & Corporate requirements.
- Maintain excellent relations with HMG security authorities (DE&S, CyDR, IVCO and NSV etc.) and local agencies (police and local authorities).
- Contribute to UK-wide Security projects and collaborate with Security Professionals from other L3Harris UK sites as a member of the L3Harris UK Security Managers Forum.
Essential Requirements for the Role:
- Must be able to obtain security clearance at the Developed Vetting (DV) level.
- At least 5 yearsβ experience working with Government / MOD in the security field to include comprehensive experience of working with HMG information assets in a secure environment.
- Working knowledge of Government Functional Standard GovS007 β Security and International Standard for Information Security Management β ISO 27001.
- Detailed understanding of HMG personnel vetting processes.
- Experience of driving continuous improvements in business processes and the ability to identify root cause corrective actions.
- Highest ethical standards, integrity and conduct.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to achieve effective partnerships and relationships in a multi-discipline environment, including the ability to brief up to Board Level directors.
- Strong, effective leadership, mentoring and conflict resolution skills.
Additional Skills and Experience:
- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor is desirable.
- Member of DISA and other professional IA bodies is desirable.
- Previous experience of financial CAPEX and OPEX budgeting and management.
- An analytical mind capable of βout-of-the-boxβ thinking to solve problems.
- Demonstrable organisation and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills.
- Outstanding management skills that demonstrate openness to change and the ability to manage multiple, complex activities and achieve tight deadlines.
