Project

Mace has been appointed by the Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) as its Programme Delivery Partner for the Science Capability in Animal Health (SCAH) programme in Weybridge Surrey.

Under the partnership, Mace will oversee the delivery of a state-of-the-art centre at the heart of the Animal and Plant Health Agency’s (APHA) campus in Surrey; a facility already recognised for leading the way in research into animal welfare and resilience to animal-borne disease.

As the Programme Delivery Partner, across an initial five-year period, Mace will provide a full suite of project and programme management services, as well as PMO and planning, cost and commercial management and business advisory capabilities.

The Mace team will be responsible for identifying and implementing innovative solutions such as modern methods of construction (MMC) and digital command centres, developing tailored contracting strategies and advising on delivery requirements such as constructability and logistics.

Role

Based onsite in Weybridge 3 days a week you will be responsible for the Information Management (IM) discipline for client projects/programmes, ensuring efficient information management and successful project/programmes. Executes IM function to defined strategy, plans and processes and in line with standards. Ensures that documents and project artefacts are to standard, labelled and filled appropriately. The role is to learn, understand, develop and implement processes described within ISO19650 including how the information is produced and assured for digital delivery.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Follows IM processes effectively and efficiently and adhere to standards (inc ISO19650) for client-facing projects and programmes.
  • Contributes to ensuring the project/programme IM function effective and efficient such that project personnel can access information they need.
  • Supports and guides project/programme colleagues in IM practices and processes.
  • Assurance and quality control of documents and artefacts submitted and stored.
  • Contributes to the set up, implementation and development of the Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Contributes to global Digital Centre of Excellence including body of knowledge, processes, case studies.
  • Responsible for coordinating activities ensuring management and successful project/programmes.
  • Coordinates work activities to achieve agreed objectives and provide performance management, development and coaching.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll Need To Have

  • Some Information Management experience from one or more projects and programmes.
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Used to working with different stakeholders.
  • Disciplined, methodical and organised.
  • Effective team member and helping/training others.
  • Able to work independently.

You’ll Also Have

  • Familiarity with information architecture, naming, numbering, filing conventions.
  • Working towards technical qualifications and certifications such as APM IM, experience of software e.g. Aconex.
  • SharePoint
  • Construction, property, and real estate industry.
  • Security, cyber security, data protection awareness.
  • Experience of working in an international setting either remotely from or outside the UK.
  • ISO 19650 series, UK BIM Framework, CDE management.
  • Technical qualifications and certifications such as APM IM, Assoc of Information Managers, (or equivalent).
  • Subject expert experience in key IM software including Aconex, ViewPoint, Business Collaborator, etcISO 19650 certification
